Out doing the things we love
We’ve been enjoying some special outings in the local community.
“Residents love getting out and about in the local region,” says Manager, Hasika. “Our location here on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula is perfect for scenic drives. There are so many sights in easy reach, including beaches, fishing spots and rolling green hills.”
Recently, a group of smiling residents had a fantastic day out, enjoying a bus drive from Hastings to Flinders.
The group enjoyed hot chips and lemonade while looking out at the stunning view of Flinders Beach. They then took the long way back, via Crib Point and Stony Point boat ramp where they watched the pelicans balancing high on the light posts. A stop in at Hastings for afternoon tea brought the outing to a delicious end.
Resident Gillian loved the adventure. “It was so beautiful watching the waves from the look out. We just had to make sure the seagulls didn’t pinch our chips!”
With frequent drives past local farms and fishing areas from Mornington to Rosebud and Tooradin, residents who have lived in the area for years become casual tour guides, sharing wonderful stories and local knowledge along the way. No wonder our planned bus trips are always so popular!
