Our ‘walker wash’ was a big hit
Well, that was fun! Residents recently rolled through their very own carwash, designed and constructed especially for their mobility aids.
The wash came complete with hoses, buckets of soap suds, bubbles, music and even streamers. In total, eighteen wheelie walkers and two wheelchairs were rolled through for a deluxe wash, detailed clean, and even a ‘roadworthy’ inspection to make sure everything was running smoothly. The only thing missing was the free air fresheners!
“It was a spontaneous idea, but proved such a success,” says Kim, Lifestyle Team Lead. “Some creative thinking saw our walking track transformed into a makeshift and very lively ‘walker wash’. Residents were so pleased with their freshly polished walkers and they’re already looking forward to the next wash day!”
